Break away coupling can protect the loading and unloading for loading arm, preventing
accidental leakage.
There are two kinds of break away coupling, wire break away coupling and bolts break away coupling.
Wire break away coupling machinery theory: using a steel wire to install on the loading arm along the moving position of tank truck. one point ties to the break away coupling, the other point ties to riser, inner arm or someplace near it. The max extend length of wire should be more than the total length of inner arm and outer arm so that when the tank truck moves accidentally, the wire will tighten in advance. The break away coupling will break away and the both coupling face will be closed before the liquid pipeline are under force to prevent the accident.
Bolts break away coupling machinery theory: Break away the coupling before the pipeline are in force. The break away coupling seperates to two parts. The both coupling face will be closed quickly to prevent the accident.
